Elena grew up the aftermath of the Kosovo war and has since lived and worked in many conflict settings.

Her photography focuses on the complex quiet moments in these often misunderstood and sensationalized environments, specializing in co-creative portraiture.

Based in Oxford, England on a Rhodes scholarship, her present work investigates how classism inhibits art access.

She believes colour and beauty inform truth.
